LIVIA TANG- AW19 – LONDON FASHION WEEK

LIVIA TANG AW19 – LONDON FASHION WEEK

The special bond between siblings, celebration of brotherhood and sisterhood, and japanesetextiles. This is a spirit of the collection, which originated in historic iages of twins.

The starting point of the collection was historic images of sisters and brothers. The combination of masculine fabrics like corduroy with femiie lame woven jacquard and substainable fabrics, such as linen an recycled viscose, to communicate long – lasting attachment.

The collection presents an idea of a twin look, with double sided fabrics, indigo tweed, lilac woolen cotton blends houndstooth pattern, cotton blend and ivory linen jacquard. All the beading and trimmings are created with natural materials and processes, mainly jade and shell, cord used as straps and fastenings.

With each element, from floral tapestry and patchwork to traditional weaving used in top stitching, the designer cherishes tenacious relationships between siblings.

PAM HOGG- AW19 – VENUS in PHURR

PAM HOGG A/W19 – LONDON FASHION WEEK

One of my favourite shows on the circuit. Pam combines rock’n’roll and fashion to a happy, sexy place.  Milatary, latex, sheer, and embellishemnt are throughout the collection.

If the model was not wearing a hat, it was  BIG hair to complete the look. Overall , show stopping looks with a soundtrack to raise everyone’s mood.

Spotted some usual suspects on front row including, Ellen Von Unwerth, Sascha Lilic, Hilary Alexander,

PAULA KNORR A/W19 – LONDON FASHION WEEK

Monday favourite presentation with gliz and sparkle. Sheer, sequins and lots of movement in the garments.  The styling was gorgeous. At the core of the collection, bold figure hugging sihlouettes with drapes in a mix of delicate sequin fabrics are all finished with lycra back panels to allow flexibility and movement.

Hints of ‘sporty’ detailing ar injected throughout the collection with relaxed shapes like deconstructed Tunica’s and Palazzo pants, in sparkly oversize sequins, featuring Sportive lurex ribbing. This focus on comfort continues with luxurious silk gowns and kaftans featuring double drapes and rushing allowing for that fluid movement.

The collection also features a large selection of easy to wear lycra styles re-developed into show stopping evening gowns and elegant tops. Sequins, soft lamé velvets with a glossy, water shine, fluid satin fabrics combined with rich red and wine tones, bright neons and pink and soft blushes all form an alluring contrast to the sportive elements of AW19.

PAUL COSTELLOE A/W 2019 COLLECTION – LONDON FASHION WEEK

PAUL COSTELLOE A/W 2019 – LONDON FASHION WEEK

Day 4 #lfw19

Paul Costelloe was my first show on Monday morning @ Simpsons on the strand. The show location is always at venue that echoes the theme of the show, elegant and inspirational.

This season for Autumn / Winter 2019 -20 , Paul Costelloe shows his mastery of tailoring. With striking, military inspired coats in pure Italian wool, they lead a collection full of rich colour, reminiscent of the Tsars and a homecoming from War, an escape from austerity and what is to come…

The military looks opened the show with striking coats, jackets styled with latex trousers, shorts and statement jewellery by NJO designs.

Opulent, mill-engineered velvet, corduroy with lavish handle, in autumnal shades of gold and claret, add to an array of flower strewn day to evening pieces, including pencil skirts with over-sized Aran Knitwear, day dresses in subtle woven patterns and aristocratric inspired long, billowing gowns fit for a princess.

This season, Paul Costelloe Bags introduce a collection of substantial leather pieces, with a decidedly military feel, including crossovers, satchels and belt bags with brass detail bring this outstanding collection together.
